Africa Fintech Summit 2022
Supported by an advisory board of thought leaders and fintech pioneers, the AFTS is a unique space where ideas are explored, investments mobilized, and collaborations formed across sectors and geographies.
Twice a year, AFTS brings the issues, entrepreneurs, and opportunities revolutionizing finance in Africa to the world’s stage. The AFTS takes place in Washington, D.C., every April during the spring meetings of the World Bank Group and every November in a different African city. The 8th edition of AFTS will take in Cape Town, South Africa on November 3-4, 2022.
AFTSCapeTown will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on November 3rd & 4th, 2022. The summit is broken down into two days with the vast majority of exhibition and panel conversations taking place on Nov. 3rd with the AlphaExpo pitch competition and Cape Town Ecosystem Tour taking place on Nov. 4th.
AFTS is the only dedicated forum where fintech innovators, investors, bankers, telecoms, regulators, and everyone in between can come together from across Africa (and the globe) to discuss, network, and learn about the continent’s largest technology sub-sector.
2022 has not been the easiest year to be a fintech, but nonetheless, we foresee an African fintech industry that not only leads technology in Africa, but across the globe. This year, our thesis is ‘The Africanization of Global Fintech,’ and from this, our conversations and debates evolve.
